Green Bean is an online application that allows people to rank each other and their communities on “Green Status”. On GreenBean.me, your Green Ranking is defined by collecting “Green Beans” from your friends. Green Beans can be awarded for various categories of Green Status Updates.

Twitter and Facebook Application
Users create accounts using Twitter (TW) or Facebook (FB). Users cannot create an account without using a FB/TW account. The greenbean.me website has access to the user’s FB/TW username, avatar and location for use on the site.

When a request is submitted it is published to the user’s page, and the user’s social network (Twitter or Facebook, depending on how they created their account). Their social network status is updated as well.
